What CTER is
A real research framework built to grow carefully.
CTER starts small on purpose. The program prioritizes safe methods, repeatability, data integrity, outside review, and honest limits before expansion, titles, or publicity.

Current research cycle
2026-27 Foundation year
The first cycle focuses on building a defensible Gloucester/York River-area environmental monitoring workflow while establishing the habits that later work will depend on.
- Freeze a safe, repeatable field protocol before routine sampling.
- Build a longitudinal environmental dataset without rewriting raw observations.
- Document calibration, metadata, anomalies, and limitations.
- Develop environmental dashboard and field-entry tools.
- Seek appropriate outside methods review and age-appropriate research pathways.
Non-negotiable standards
Scientific credibility before optics.
- Safety and legal access outrank the sampling calendar.
- No wildlife handling or regulated collection without the proper permissions and qualified supervision.
- Raw data is preserved; corrections happen in traceable processed copies.
- Missing or questionable data is marked, never invented.
- No partner, advisor, sponsor, or institutional affiliation is implied until it is actually established.
